Oxfordshire Village Cricket Pavilion

A timeless replacement pavilion that honours village cricket traditions while embracing contemporary style and community use

A new cricket pavilion is proposed for Sunningwell, designed to provide a simple, modern and welcoming facility for local players and visitors. The building includes a flexible club room, changing facilities and a covered terrace overlooking the pitch, with an understated architectural form that sits comfortably within the village setting. It also consolidates on‑site storage into a single, well‑organised space, improving the club’s day‑to‑day operation.

The pavilion has been designed to be fully inclusive, with level access throughout, accessible changing and WC facilities, and clear circulation routes. The layout supports equal participation for all players and visitors, ensuring the building is welcoming and usable for everyone in the community.
